While India celebrated its 71st Republic Day, A somber atmosphere hung over as the news of the National Basketball Association (NBA) star Kobe Byrant and his daughter Gianna and seven others demise in a helicopter crash shocked the entire world. It was the same day the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The opening of the Red Carpet was done by paying a tribute to Kobe by Ryan Seacrest, the television host and producer. Priyanka Chopra, also paid her tribute by wearing the no. 24 (The Jersey number of Kobe during the latter years of his LA Lakers career) on her nails.
But as they say, the show must go on and so it did. The stars of the music industry showed up in their best attires and rocked the red carpet both with their looks and their performances.
Here are some of the artists who rocked the look and could be categorically put under the best dressed –
The American singer-songwriter, rapper not only grabbed 3 Grammys but also glammed up the glow of the night in her beautiful white fur lined Versace dress it was nothing less than a wedding dress, probably because it was one of her biggest night! Also, not to forget her elaborate nail art.
How can we talk about best dressed and not mention Ariana Grande? In her ruffled, princess Cinderella gown by Giambattista Valli, Ariana looked nothing less than a Disney Princess in her grey ballroom gown by Schiaparelli as well. The Grammy would not have been complete with one enormous, fluffy gown, wouldn’t it?
LIL NAS X
Only Ranveer Singh or Lil Nas X can pull off a shocking pink cowboy outfit and look dapper in it. Looking absolute stunner in this Versace outfit, Lil Nax X made a lot of head turn, both by his outfit, swag and 2 Grammys! There can certainly be only one Lil Nax!
Let’s just give it to her for her sheer confidence where she can look stunning even looking a tree. In a lime green outfit, Gucci gave her a style that she prefers, baggy, huge clothes with matching accessories and hair! Her look was completed by a killer Mani.
The cowboy’s certainly took it away this Grammy season. Wearing a sparkly blue and silver cowboy outfit with fringes, Billy didn’t disappoint us this time either. Oh, to top it all the HAT which had a button that operated the fringe curtains to open and close! A perfect way to shut down, unnecessary social interaction. Find a Hat as cool as that and Potter will change his name.
Jameela looked like a Diva in the elaborate blue metallic outfit by Georges Chakra giving us a futuristic feel of when robots would look this stunning.
A red wrap dress fitted perfectly on Rosalia making her look like a goddess that she already is.
